U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran result in escalated tension in Gaza

Immediately following the initial U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28, aggression escalated in the Gaza Strip, raising concerns about the impact of the new conflict on a population that has endured a genocidal war for more than two years.

As regional tensions continue to rise, the situation in Gaza has become increasingly critical. Israel has reinforced its control over the region’s crossings, further restricting the delivery of essential humanitarian aid.

Speaking to VOC News, Anwar Jhatem from the Media Review Network said the amount of humanitarian reaching Gaza is not enough to sustain life and receive the necessary medical treatment.
