Two teachers from South Peninsula High School have been acquitted of sexual assault charges dating back more than 20 years.
According to court documents, the lawyer representing one of the teachers successfully filed a Section 174 application, which led to the dismissal of the case. The teacher’s brother, who faced similar charges, was also discharged.
The case was brought forward by the victim several years after the alleged incidents.
Speaking to VOC News, Karen Hollely of the Child Witness Foundation highlighted that this case raises broader concerns within educational institutions.
