Thousands Affected by Power Outage in Khayelitsha

Eskom has confirmed that approximately 12,000 customers in Khayelitsha are currently without electricity following an unplanned power outage that began on Thursday.

“The cause of the fault remains under investigation. Technical teams have been dispatched to the affected area and are working to identify the root cause and begin restoration efforts as soon as possible,” Eskom said.

At this stage, there is no estimated time when power will be fully restored.
