The ongoing extended Cabinet Lekgotla in Pretoria is aiming for strategies for economic growth.
Cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, premiers, and officials from the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) are convening at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guest House on Tuesday, 30 August 2025.
The one-day meeting will cover topics such as economic growth, reform of local government, and security. Speaking to VOC News, political analyst Dr. Levy Ndou described the focus as “difficult” as this takes place at a time of heightened unemployment.
