The City’s Fire and Rescue Service reported that crews are on site attending to slopes alight between Hout Bay and Camps Bay.
“The first incident was reported as vegetation alight at around 13:15 at the corner of Park Avenue and Valley Road in Hout Bay. Later, calls were received of slopes alight above Llandudno,” said the City’s Fire and Rescue Service, Jermaine Carelse.
“Currently, two helicopters are waterbombing the affected areas, and operations are being coordinated by the Incident Management Team (IMT) Type four,” added Carelse.
Carelse noted that the property has been affected by the fire but assures that details will be confirmed once more information is available.
