Tensions continue to mount in Beirut, Lebanon

With rising tensions in the Middle East, Israel intensifies its aggression in Beirut, Lebanon. This follows Hezbollah’s rocket fire in Israel in response to attacks on Iran earlier this week.

The Israeli occupation has been assaulting Lebanon prior to the attack on Iran, amidst a supposed ceasefire agreement with Lebanon that the Israelis violated.

Speaking to VOC News, Beirut-based journalist Sara Talih Matar confirmed that the war has escalated against the south of Lebanon around Sunday, leading into Monday night.

“The strikes have not stopped from Monday up until now – they are striking everywhere, even sometimes without warning, and they are killing innocent civilians on the ground,” explained Matar.
