South African National Parks (SANParks), in partnership with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), has launched the Disability Inclusion in Entrepreneurship programme, aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs living with disabilities.
The initiative focuses on skills development, mentorship, and market linkages, enabling participants to access funding, grow their businesses, and participate more meaningfully in the economy.
SANParks representative Simon Marutha said the programme reflects a strong commitment to breaking barriers and opening opportunities for youth with disabilities.
“To the young entrepreneurs living with disabilities who are part of this programme, I want to say this: your courage and determination are an inspiration to us all. The challenges you face are real, but so too are your resilience, innovation, and creativity,” said Marutha.
The programme forms part of a broader effort to promote inclusivity in entrepreneurship and ensure that young South Africans with disabilities are not left behind in the country’s economic growth.
