“For South Africa, there have been two official accreditation dates. The first was in the first week of February, while the second took place on Thursday, 19 March.”
This is according to Moaaz Casoo, President of the South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC).
In an interview with VOC News, Casoo noted that, globally, 45,000 pilgrims from 120 countries have been accredited through the Nusuk system.
“From South Africa, during the first accreditation booking period, 1,150 pilgrims were accredited,” he added.
