SAFA Begins Search for New Bafana Coach After Broos Exit Announcement

The South African Football Association (SAFA) is preparing to begin the search for a new Bafana Bafana head coach as current coach Hugo Broos approaches the end of his tenure. Broos, who has spent five years with the national team, is expected to step down after the upcoming FIFA World Cup in North America next month.

SAFA Technical Committee chairperson Jack Maluleke said the association wants to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the high standards set under Broos’ leadership.

“We want to plead with you to give us space and support us because we’ll never let the nation down,” said Maluleke. “The standard that Hugo Broos has set is already high, so we must ensure that we match that standard.”

Maluleke confirmed that the recruitment process will begin soon, with SAFA aiming to appoint a new coach immediately after the World Cup. He added that further details would be communicated through the association’s communications department.
