Early reports have noted that President Cyril Ramaphosa hopes to increase ties in the business sphere with China, as the country is keen to expand its business operations in South Africa. He was also joined by a high-level business delegation.
According to recent reports, Japan is one of South Africa’s major economic partners, with sizeable investments in the economy totaling more than R90 billion. Speaking to VOC News, international relations expert and Mail & Guardian columnist Donovan Williams stressed the importance of expanding relations with other countries.
