Police Investigate Three Double Murders in Kraaifontein Amid Series of Shootings

Police in Kraaifontein are investigating three separate double murders following a string of shootings on Tuesday.

The latest incident occurred at about 23:40 in Taleman Street, Wallacedene, where two women in their twenties were shot and killed inside a bedroom with gunshot wounds to the head.

“Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The possibility that these incidents are linked is not ruled out,” said police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg.

Just ten minutes earlier, at around 23:30, also in Wallacedene, two women aged 19 and 25 were fatally shot in Molefe Street. A third victim, a 24-year-old, sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Earlier that evening, at approximately 21:50, police responded to a shooting at the corner of 9th Avenue and Verster Street, Eikendal, where officers discovered the bodies of two men, aged 20 and 22.

“Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested,” Twigg confirmed.

Police say the motives behind the attacks form part of ongoing investigations.
