The National Students’ Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has called on the Matric Class of 2016 to submit applications for student aid for 2017.
The scheme says its centralised system is closing its application window for the 2017 academic year at the end of November. Most of the applications received so far are from students already at universities.
NSFAS Head of Business Enablement and Transformation Victor Rambau says, “We are concerned that most applications are coming from students, who are already at universities.. we are looking for new applications particularly from those who are sitting down for their Grade 12 exams.”
