Reports indicate that Israeli occupation forces intercepted several vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla on Wednesday night, 1 October 2025. According to Guillaume de Bassompierre, press officer for the Thousand Madleens to Gaza, this action was expected due to Israel’s established record of disregarding international law.
“This is tantamount to piracy since they are boarding boats in international waters without any legal right to do so – this is illegal from maritime law and international law,” added de Bassompierre.
