“The visit by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff to aid distribution points run by the so-called ‘Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’ (GHF) was nothing but a pre-scripted theatrical performance designed to mislead public opinion, whitewash the occupation’s image, and provide political cover for its starvation policies and systematic killing of innocent children and civilians in Gaza.”
This is according to the Palestinian resistance group Hamas. The statement comes following Witkoff’s statements, which Hamas asserted are “propaganda images, attempting to portray the peaceful distribution of aid.”
“Over 1,300 starving civilians have been martyred by occupation forces and the inhumane staff of GHF – an entity created solely to facilitate genocide. The U.S. administration is fully complicit in these starvation crimes and this ongoing genocide, taking place in full view of the international community,” stated Hamas.
“We call on the U.S. government to assume its historical responsibility by exposing the crime of the century in Gaza and working toward a ceasefire agreement that ends the aggression, withdraws occupation forces and lifts the unjust siege on our people, instead of enabling the occupation’s inhuman policies – which shame all of humanity and only deepen the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine and the region,” reiterated the resistance.
