“What war criminal Netanyahu’s plan to take over Gaza represents an extension of his genocidal and displacement policies, through committing further crimes against our Palestinian people in Gaza.”
This is according to the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent remarks affirming his intention to occupy the Gaza Strip without permanently governing it, instead proposing to hand it over to Arab forces that do not threaten the occupying entity.
“Netanyahu’s statements represent a blatant reversal of the negotiation process and clearly expose the real motives behind his withdrawal from the last ceasefire round, despite our nearing a final agreement,” said the resistance.
“His plans to expand the aggression confirm, beyond doubt, that he intends to abandon his own prisoners, sacrificing them to serve his personal interests and extremist ideological agenda,” Hamas added.
