Hamas expresses gratitude to China President Xi Jinping for providing over R160 billion in humanitarian aid for Palestinians

The Palestinian resistance group Hamas expressed gratitude to President Xi Jinping and the People’s Republic of China for providing over R160 billion (100 million dollars) in humanitarian assistance to aid the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

“The monies are aimed at alleviating their humanitarian suffering amid the ongoing aggression by the occupation, and contribute to the reconstruction efforts,” said Hamas.

“This generous grant comes as an extension of China’s historic and steadfast positions in support of the inalienable rights of our Palestinian people, particularly the right to freedom and independence, the right to self-determination, and the establishment of the independent, fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital,” reiterated Hamas.

The assistance comes as Israel escalates aggression despite a ceasefire agreement, killing Palestinian civilians, mainly women and children. According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, six martyrs, including one newly killed by occupation forces and five martyrs recovered from under the rubble, were received by Gaza hospitals in the past 24 hours.

Early reports have cited that the Israeli occupation forces killed over 360 Palestinians and injured over 950 others since the ceasefire took effect on 11 October 2025.
