Early reports noted the Global Sumud Flotilla is sailing across the Mediterranean to challenge Israel’s illegal siege of Gaza, with additional ships expected to join along the way.
Speaking to VOC News, Madison Bannon from the Global Sumud Flotilla team shared that all 10 delegates from South Africa have arrived in Tunis, with the final delegate being Mandla Mandela, the leader of the South African delegation.
Bannon explained, “Our South African delegation consists of individuals from various parts of the country, including New Castle, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. Our members range in age from as young as 22, representing the Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) Youth League, to 54 years old.”
