Former South African ambassador to the U.S. and anti-Apartheid activist Ebrahim Rasool attended the Globally Empowered Muslims Summit in Doha, Qatar, where he shared his thoughts on contemporary politics, along with leaders such as Sheikh Omar Sulaiman and Waddah Khanfar.
Speaking to VOC News, Rasool explained that the summit consists of approximately 750 Muslims around the world who convene as “gems” in the tech world, cultural gems, and the political and health spheres.
“We are in the midst of angry white supremacism, where all people who are different are under pressure, especially the Muslims, Hispanics in the U.S., and black people at large – it is the moment with extreme uncertainty where the world is either going to topple to the right or wrong side of history,” shared Rasool.
