Parents and guardians in the Western Cape have just a few days left to apply for school transfers.
The process applies to learners in Grades 2 to 7 and Grades 9 to 12 who are already enrolled in a school but need to move to another.
DA Western Cape Education spokesperson Leon van Wyk stressed that acting early is crucial, as it allows the provincial Education Department to plan ahead for teacher placements, resources, and infrastructure needs.
He has urged families to submit applications before the deadline to avoid complications later in the year.
“Make sure to include the last report and Identity Document or birth certificate, as well as proof of address. Apply early to your preferred school and don’t wait until the last to apply to avoid any disappointment.
The due date for the application is 18th August 2025.
