Cape Town is set to host the iconic Two Oceans Marathon this weekend

Cape Town is set to host the iconic Two Oceans Marathon this weekend, renowned as the most beautiful race globally. Ethiopian athlete Kamil Suleiman, who has lived in Cape Town for nearly twenty years, stated that the Muslim community constitutes a significant portion of the running community.
“If there are 15 000 licneced runners this year, then a few thousand in Cape Town alone would be Muslim runners, and many of those runners are elite, experienced runners, who are devoted to the sport,” said Suleiman.
“As Muslim runners come out of Ramadan, they have had to adjust their training programs while fasting and trying to be consistent with their training,” he added.
