South Africa’s test positivity rate declined sharply to 18.6%.
This comes as just more than 3K new coronavirus infections were reported in the country in the past 24 hours.
Gauteng reported the highest number of new infections followed by KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape.
A further 87 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 91 312 to date.
