Local Activist Warns Feroz Khan Shooting Raises Serious Questions Over Crime Intelligence and Police Integrity

Suspended Crime Intelligence boss Feroz Khan has been shot in an incident that has triggered a high-level investigation by the South African Police Service (SAPS).

The shooting comes just days before Khan was expected to appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, where he is due to testify in connection with corruption allegations against him.

Authorities have not yet released full details surrounding the circumstances of the attack, and it remains unclear whether the incident is connected to his upcoming appearance before the commission.

Crime activist Yusuf Abramjee spoke to VOC News about the incident. Abramjee has previously spoken out on issues involving policing, organised crime, and accountability within South Africa’s security structures.

SAPS has confirmed that an investigation is underway, with further updates expected as more information becomes available.
