South Africans still grapple with increasing living expenses despite the government’s efforts to alleviate pressure

While the government aims to alleviate pressure on South Africans, many are still grappling with the increasing living expenses.

Frank Blackmore, Lead Economist at KPMG, told VOC News that consumers should carefully evaluate their spending habits, noting that the broader reflection of this is captured in the consumer inflation index.

“We are going to see if inflation is above 4%, so any adjustment less than that to your income would mean that you would be worse off after these increases and costs,” explained Blackmore.
