Israel’s assassination of Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, will not deliver a crippling blow to Iran’s leadership, the foreign minister said.
According to a report broadcast by Al Jazeera, following Tehran’s confirmation of Larijani’s death this morning, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the United States and Israel have not yet understood that Iran’s system of governance does not depend on a single individual.
Speaking to VOC News, Middle Eastern analyst Naeem Jeena said the war, on the part of the United States, had no clear objectives and that it could not expect an immediate end after initiating the conflict.
