The United Ulema Council of South Africa (UUCSA) has initiated a nationwide survey of the Muslim community to gain deeper insights into the realities, challenges, and aspirations of Muslims throughout the communities.
Speaking to VOC News, Moulana Sulaiman Ravat, Deputy Secretary General of UUCSA, mentioned that the survey aims to engage at the grassroots level and connect with the genuine feelings within the community.
“The survey is meant to get input from people on the ground in various communities because, for example, the challenges I face in Lenasia—a city in Gauteng—will be different from the challenges another individual faces in Cape Town, which is in the Western Cape,” explained Ravat.
