The KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, will testify before Parliament’s ad hoc committee next Tuesday and Wednesday about allegations of criminal infiltration in the justice system. Senior Counsel Norman Arendse will preside over the evidence confirming that Mkhwanazi’s statement had been finalised. Arendse further stated that the team is working tirelessly to prepare the statement.
“Mkhwanazi’s statement has been finalised. I just want to reassure the honourable members that we are stretched; we are working at more than full capacity, and wading through so much information is not an easy exercise,” said Arendse.
