Eskom has confirmed that around 5000 residents in Khayelitsha and surrounding areas has been affected by a power outage on Wednesday.
“Technicians are on site attending to the fault. At the moment there is no estimated restoration time yet. Customers are warned to treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption,” Eskom stated.
