At least 63 people have reportedly been killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, despite the Israeli regime’s announcement of a temporary pause in military operations in parts of central and northern Gaza to allow humanitarian aid through.
The continued violence has drawn widespread condemnation.
Speaking to VOC News, Dr. Firoz Osman, executive member of the Media Review Network, described the situation as “absolutely horrific.”
“We run out of words to describe the utter inhumanity of the Zionist regime and the complicity of the Western world,” said Osman. “But worst still is the absolute complicity of regimes surrounding Palestine with the ability to provide food or shelter, yet they withhold even a drop of water from thirsty infants.”
He emphasised that the victims are civilians, including children, who are completely innocent.
The latest casualties come amid growing concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
