WC police appeal for public assistance amid search for robbery, rape suspect

Police are appealing to the public to be on the lookout for the suspect depicted below. He is wanted on charges of kidnapping, rape and robbery.

Members of Bellville Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit says the suspect is reported to have tied up and raped a 36-year-old woman at a lodge in Rhodes Street, Goodwood on Monday, 4 July 22. According to police, the person of interest – known only as Mike – thereafter fled the scene with the woman’s phone and cash.
