The Public Servants Association (PSA) has raised serious concerns regarding the unsafe and deteriorating conditions at Moretele Office Park in the North West.
Despite repeated reports of health and safety hazards, the Department of Public Works has allegedly failed to address these issues, placing employees at risk and contravening the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
The PSA argued that this neglect reflects a disregard for employee well-being and calls for urgent intervention to ensure a safe working environment.
According to the Public Servants Association (PSA), the Department’s failure to comply with the OHSA clearly displays its disregard for its employees.
The PSA stated that it will not stand by whilst members’ working conditions are not conducive and will continue to advance the rights and interests of public servants.
