Matric exams under way at prisons, inmates to write technical papers soon

There are 198 inmates sitting for the 2023 national senior certificate (NSC) final examinations within correctional facilities. The department of correctional services (DCS) said they started with computer applications technology on Tuesday and will tackle the English paper 1 on October 30. Matrics warned against cheating, 14 WC kids busted with crib notes

LOCAL Matrics have been warned against cheating during their final exam. Hundreds of thousands of matrics kicked off the National Senior Certificate exam two weeks ago. Umalusi gives green light for 2022 matric exams

LOCAL Umalusi has approved the writing of the 2022 end-of-year matric exams. The education quality assurance council said on Friday it had completed its role of monitoring and verifying the readiness of the public and private assessment bodies to manage and conduct the 2022 exams. Basic Education says it has full confidence in the justice system after arguments were heard in an application in the High Court in Pretoria challenging the decision that two leaked matric exam papers be rewritten.
