While abuse against women and children continues to plague societies across the globe, efforts to remedy the scourge of this domestic breakdown has once again been called to the fore in the annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. The 16 days of Activism begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and concludes on December 10, Human Rights Day.
