COCT warns Simons Town residents against handling stranded puffer fish

The City of Cape Town has commenced operations for the proper disposal of 80 puffer fish that washed ashore at Simon’s Town yesterday.

Residents and visitors have been cautioned not to handle the fish and pets should not come in contact with the fish.

The city will be monitoring the beaches from Fish Hoek to Simon’s Town in the coming days.
