S&P keeps South Africa’s credit rating at junk status

Ratings agency Standard and Poor’s has kept the country’s credit rating at junk status. It says South Africa continues to face economic growth challenges. But, it acknowledges government’s efforts to foster economic and social reform. VOC became the first Muslim radio station in South Africa when a special events license was granted to the station in Ramadan/January 1995. Subsequent temporary broadcast licenses were granted, permitting the station to broadcast for 24 hours.
