South Africa welcomes Sign Language as one of its official languages

By Kouthar Sambo South Africa now has 12 official languages. This comes after President Cyril Ramaphosa officially signed into law the South African Sign Language Bill at the Union Building in Pretoria yesterday. VOC became the first Muslim radio station in South Africa when a special events license was granted to the station in Ramadan/January 1995. Subsequent temporary broadcast licenses were granted, permitting the station to broadcast for 24 hours.
