Yemen southern provinces reject separatists’ claim to self-rule

Authorities in five southern provinces in Yemen have rejected a separatist group's claim to self-rule, further heightening tensions among ostensible allies in the Saudi-led coalition battling Houthi rebels elsewhere in the country. Cameroon receives separatist leader, 46 others deported from Nigeria

The government of Cameroon on Monday (January 29, 2018) announced that forty seven secessionists had been extradited from Nigeria. In a press conference in the capital Younde, Information Minister, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, said among the 47 was self-acclaimed leader of the Ambazonia secessionist group, Ayuk Tabe Julius.
