Security upgrades for emergency service staff

On Friday Western Cape Health MEC Nomafrench Mbombo outlined new plans to ensure that Emergency Medical Services (EMS) employees are safe when they are saving other people’s lives. This comes after an ambulance was attacked on Wednesday morning while transporting a critically injured child to Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital. Turkey, Russia push for safe-zones in Syria

The presidents of Russia and Turkey are pushing for the creation of safe-zones in war-torn Syria as talks were expected to resume on Thursday in Kazakhstan between the government and opposition.
