Public Protector probes teachers

The Public Protector has launched an investigation into South Africa’s professional body for teachers following allegations of financial mismanagement and nepotism. Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has begun an investigation into the SA Council for Educators (Sace), due to allegations that unqualified officials were appointed to positions that were not advertised.
