Recusal hearing against “discriminatory” Bromwell Street judge set for May

A group of Bromwell Street residents, who are facing eviction from their homes in Woodstock, have recently lodged a Judicial Services Commission complaint and a recusal application against the Acting Judge Leslie Weinkove for alleged discriminatory comments made during court proceedings. Ndifuna Ukwazi Law Centre to represent Bromwell Street residents

The Ndifuna Ukwazi Law Centre will on Tuesday head to the Western Cape High Court to represent families facing eviction from Bromwell Street, Woodstock. Bromwell Street residents protested outside the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock in August over the proposed evictions.
