Grassy Park police seek assistance in murder of 80-year-old during house robbery

Celebration as new Perivale Primary School buildings are opened

This morning the Western Cape Department of Education celebrated the opening of the new Perivale Primary School buildings in Lotus River, and officially welcomed teachers and learners to the beautiful, state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities. A man and a 7 month old baby have died after a blaze gutted a house in Lotus River in the early hours of Monday morning. Neighbours woke up to the house engulfed in flames just before 4am, with the Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services quickly on the scene.
