UCT lifts registration fee block for students with 2020 historic debt

The University of Cape Town Council has approved a proposal by the executive for all students with historic debt to be allowed to register in 2021. Council also resolved that UCT will make every effort to support students in the process of servicing their debt. Meaures in place to allow students with historic debt to register – UCT

The University of Cape Town (UCT) said that it had put measures in place to allow eligible students with historic debt to register. Protesting UCT students on Friday occupied the Kramer Building, which is where student financial aid is managed.
