More than 200 new Covid-19 cases recorded in SA

Figures released by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) on Monday showed 212 new Covid-19 cases had been identified in SA in the previous 24 hours. Delays in intern placements worsen critical shortage of medical professionals

The critical shortage of medical professionals is worsened by delays to intern placements nationally. Dr Edward Ngwenya of the SA Medical Association (Sama) said the issue is an annual problem affecting the entire country.
