Customer inflation basket updated by Stats SA

The consumer inflation basket has been redesigned by Statistics South Africa (Stats SA), which has added 71 items, eliminated 53, and rearranged 29. Annual consumer inflation rises slightly to 3% in December

South Africa's annual consumer inflation increased to 3% in December, up slightly from 2.9% in November. The key contributors to this rise were housing and utilities, miscellaneous goods and services, food, and non-alcoholic beverages.
