Bo-Kaap sees its first positive Covid-19 case

73-year-old Mogamat Salie has become the first Bo-Kaap resident to be infected with the coronavirus.  The Salie family have advised residents who has come into contact with their father to take the necessary precautions after he tested positive for Covid-19. VOC became the first Muslim radio station in South Africa when a special events license was granted to the station in Ramadan/January 1995. Subsequent temporary broadcast licenses were granted, permitting the station to broadcast for 24 hours.
