Son of Daesh leader reportedly killed in Syria’s Homs

A son of Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed in the city of Homs in Syria, the group’s news channel reported on Tuesday, Reuters reports. “Hudayfah al-Badri … the son of the Caliph … was killed in an operation against the Nusayriyyah and the Russians at the thermal power station in Homs,” the statement said. Russia claims Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead

Russia's defence ministry said on Friday it was checking information that a Russian air strike near the Syrian city of Raqqa may have killed Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in late May, Russian news agencies reported.
