In line with its commitment to be a transparant and accountable institution, the South African National Halal Authority (Sanha) has invited the public to attend its Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is due to take place on November 10 in Durban. The keynote address will be done by Mufti Zubair Bayat, Ameer of Darul Ihsan Islamic Services, a published author and dynamic lecturer on Islam.

This is to be followed by guest speaker, South African born Dr Mustafa Ally of Australia, an educationalist and scholar who lectures on IT at the University of Queensland and was awarded the Order of Australia for Community Service. In addition, the AGM will hear reports from Sanha’s Secretariat, Theological Committee, along with the Audited Financial Statement.

The AGM starts at 9.30am on November 10 and takes place at the Hartley Road School Hall in Overport Durban. Preparations have been made to accommodate ladies. Anyone wanting to confirm attendance or with queries can call 031-207 5768 or email events@sanha.org.za.
