The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) says it plans to announce its turnaround strategy in September.

Prasa’s image has been negatively affected by internal problems and the continued vandalism of its infrastructure.

The Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Collins Letsoalo, addressed the media in Cape Town.

“We will be submitting our AG’s report in Parliament. As I said on Monday, we have received an unqualified audit report with matters of emphasis meaning it’s not a clean bill of health.”

Letsoalo adds: “It’s just an indication that we have interpreted the statements in line with the PMFA and all other prescripts that we must follow. However, there were issues that the AG feels very strongly that we must make sure that we implement.”
