Parly resumes 2nd day of deliberations into SABC affairs

The Ad Hoc Committee probing the affairs of the SABC will resume on Friday to continue with a second day of deliberations on its working document.

The Committee adjourned before seven  o’ clock Thursday night.

It will continue to look at the observations and recommendations listed in the working document.

On Thursday the Committee identified various contradictions that were made by some of the witnesses during the inquiry.

Committee chairperson Vincent Smith says: “From nine o’ clock we will process those that we have, because its only those that are outstanding, everything else we have agreed  upon. We’ll process those and we will process the last chapter we had in terms of whether is it really a contradiction or not.”

“Once we have dealt with that, we will then deal with the observations because if we agree on the observations it’s not difficult to reach the recommendations,”
adds Smith.
