#IsraeliApartheidWeek: Dr. Uri Davis visits South Africa

Palestinian activist, Dr. Uri Davis, will be visiting South Africa from March 7-13 on a national speaking tour as part of the 12th Annual International #IsraeliApartheidWeek (IAW) campaign. The speaking tour is made possible by the Embassy of the State of Palestine in South Africa.

Dr. Uri Davis, of Jewish origin, was raised in the Israeli locality of Kefar Shemariyahu and is an Erstwhile Associate Professor at Al-Quds University in Jerusalem, Palestine. Dr. Davis has been at the forefront of the defence of human rights in Israel-Palestine. He has published extensively and is best known for his book titled “Apartheid Israel: The Struggle Within”. The book has been described as a “devastating critique” of Israel’s Apartheid policy.

In 2009 Uri Davis was elected as a member of the Revolutionary Council of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement – FATAH. Davis is also a Palestine National Council (PNC) member of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO).
