IEC finalizes 64% of votes nationally

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has now finalised 64 percent of the votes nationwide.
As of Wednesday morning, the African National Congress (ANC) has so far secured 46.23% of the votes. The IEC expects that there will be a lot of coalitions after the votes are finalised.
The ANC’s head of elections, Fikile Mbalula said that the low voter turnout can be the main reason for the coalitions.
The DA once again appears to reign supreme in their stronghold of the Western Cape. See more on the latest data in the City of Cape Town below:
